SafeRide ("we", "us") provides school transportation services in Concord, Walnut Creek and Antioch, California. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Protecting children's information is our highest priority.
Information we collect
- Parent details: name, email, phone, address, payment information (via Stripe).
- Child details: name, age, school, grade, allergies/notes, car-seat needs, photo (optional).
- Safety data: authorized pickups and IDs, emergency contacts, pickup/drop-off scans with location and photos.
- Ride data: bookings, live location during active rides, ETAs.
How we use information
To schedule and operate rides, verify who may collect a child, send notifications, process payments, respond to emergencies, and keep an auditable safety record. We do not sell your data.
Children's information
Children's data is provided by a parent or guardian and used solely to deliver the service safely. Photos and identity documents are stored privately and accessed only through short-lived, signed links.
Storage & security
Data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase) using encryption in transit and row-level access controls. Sensitive files live in private storage buckets.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers needed to run SafeRide (payments, email, maps, notifications) and with emergency services when a child's safety requires it.
Your rights
You may access, correct or delete your data, and withdraw consent, by contacting us. We retain records as required for safety and legal compliance.
